Lindau
Acceptable Use Policy
Effective: 22 August 2026
This policy protects Lindau, its customers, providers, and the public from unlawful, abusive, or disruptive use of services.
1. Lawful use
Services must comply with applicable law and the rules of relevant datacenters, registries, and network providers. You must have the necessary rights and permissions for all hosted data and activity.
2. Prohibited content
Do not host or distribute malware, phishing material, child sexual abuse material, unlawful exploitation, credible threats, content that infringes intellectual property, or content whose possession or distribution is illegal.
3. Network abuse
Spam, credential attacks, unauthorized scanning, intrusion, denial-of-service attacks, botnet control, deliberate network disruption, IP spoofing, and attempts to bypass security or resource limits are prohibited.
4. Resource use
Do not use shared resources in a way that materially degrades service for others. Cryptocurrency mining, public proxies, high-risk automation, or similar workloads may require prior written approval or a suitable dedicated plan.
5. Security duties
Keep software patched, credentials confidential, and contact details current. Notify support promptly of compromise. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by our breach.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate, rate-limit, block traffic, remove content, suspend, or terminate a service where reasonably necessary. Urgent threats may be acted on without advance notice; otherwise we try to give notice and an opportunity to remedy.
7. Reporting and appeals
Send abuse reports with URLs, IP addresses, timestamps, evidence, and contact details to support. Customers may appeal enforcement through the complaint process. Knowingly false or abusive reports are prohibited.
